The World Newah Organisation (WNO) conducted a Sithi Nakha Youth Workshop on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Itumbahaa, with nearly 50 young participants aged 18 to 30. Renowned heritage expert Mr. Padma Sundar Joshi highlighted the significance of conserving heritage in the context of Sithi Nakha’s unique traditions.
He provided detailed information on various aspects of Sithi Nakha, including Kuma Dyo, Dewali Puja, and Bhala Bhala Devi. The event aimed to engage and educate the youth about their cultural heritage, underscoring the importance of preserving these traditions for future generations. The workshop was coordinated by WNO Youth Ambassador Mr. Nitik Dangol and began with an introduction by WNO Secretary Ms. Lalima Shrestha. The program was hosted by Lalima Shrestha, reflecting a collaborative effort to foster cultural awareness and conservation among the youth.
