Celebrating 138th Birth Anniversary of Poet Yogabir Shingh

On May 12,2024 World Newah Organization celebrated the 138th birth anniversary of Poet Yogbir Singh Kansakar, one of the four pillars of Nepalbhasa. A discussion session to discuss the poetry book “Yog Sudha” written by Poet Kansakar was also conducted.

With the introduction of new technology, the program started with the lighting of lamps by the Central President of the World Newah Organization, Sanyukta Shrestha. The program was conducted by Dr Naresh Shakya and coordinated by Folk poet Raj Bhai Jakami,

In the program, Poet Kansakar’s hymn “Prachil Chala” was presented by popular singer Pramod Kasaa. Prof. Prem Hira Tuladhar presented the life story of Yogbir Singh Kansakar mentioning that his visionary ideas are still relevant today. According to Tuladhar’s statement, there was mention of the need to extract a memoir about Yogbir Singh Kansakar.
